Let’s Hear It for UCI’s Sinan Kanatsiz and Mirna Bard!

Last Friday, UCI Extension celebrated our success and more importantly, honored several instructors and advisors that are huge contributors to that success.

The talented Sinan Kanatsiz and the Internet Marketing Association (IMA) received the UCI Extension Partnership Award, which honors organizations which have made a contribution to our continuing education programs as well as to the expertise and professional skills of their employees through their partnership with UCI Extension.

UCI Extension began working with the IMA in 2011 on the development and launch of the Internet Marketing Certificate Program. Led by Sinan, the program has grown exponentially. Sinan has been an active partner in supporting webinars and helping to drive the evolution of the program, connecting Extension with thought leaders at companies like Adobe, Oracle, Facebook, Google and Salesforce, among others.

In addition, Mirna Bard was presented with the UCI Extension Distinguished Instructor Award, having taught 16 courses in our Social Media program since 2009.  Mirna has quickly become one of our top instructors through her subject matter expertise and her online facilitation techniques. Mirna is a well-known social media speaker and thought leader, whose influence has helped many students further the social media strategy of their companies.

It’s only through the partnerships with our fantastic instructors that UCI is able to continue helping our students succeed.  So thanks again to Sinan, Mirna, and all of our instructors and advisors!  Zot-zot!
